Reports suggest that Atletico Madrid could turn to Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor should they receive a massive offer for Radamel Falcao.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor has emerged as a target for La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid, according to reports.

The 28-year-old has made just four substitute appearances since sealing a permanent move to White Hart Lane in the summer and is believed to be frustrated under Andre Villas-Boas's regime.

According to The People, Los Rojiblancos view the Togo star as a potential replacement for Radamel Falcao.

A number of clubs have been credited with an interest in the Colombian hitman, who has struck 10 goals in eight games so far this season.
