Tottenham Hotspur's Jose Mourinho 'favourite to be next manager sacked'

Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho becomes the bookmakers' favourite to be the next Premier League manager sacked from his job.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho is the bookmakers' new favourite to be the next Premier League manager sacked from his job.

The Portuguese boss witnessed his Spurs team come up short in Sunday's London derby against West Ham United as goals from Michail Antonio and Jesse Lingard propelled the Hammers to a memorable 2-1 win in the capital.

Tottenham have now suffered defeat in five of their last six Premier League outings, and speculation over Mourinho's future is gathering pace by the week.

Now, Paddy Power have Mourinho down as the favourite to be the next Premier League manager relieved of his duties at odds of 11/14, with Tottenham currently ninth in the table and nine points adrift of the top four.

Chairman Daniel Levy is supposedly willing to wait until the end of the season to reassess the managerial situation, although an extended run of poor form in the coming weeks could lead him to think again.

Leicester City's Brendan Rodgers and RB Leipzig's Julian Nagelsmann have both been mentioned as potential successors to Mourinho if he does lose his job.
