Tim Sherwood wants Jamie Redknapp at Tottenham Hotspur?

Tim Sherwood reportedly wants his former Tottenham Hotspur teammate-turned-TV pundit Jamie Redknapp to rejoin the team's coaching staff under his management.

New Tottenham Hotspur head coach Tim Sherwood reportedly wants to bring in his former White Hart Lane teammate Jamie Redknapp as a coach.

The Spurs backroom staff is somewhat depleted following the sacking of Andre Villas-Boas, whose Portuguese compatriots Luis Martins, Jose Maria Rocha and Daniel Sousa all followed him out of the door.

His successor is currently working alongside Les Ferdinand, Chris Ramsey and Steffen Freund, but Sherwood is said to want the latter two to take charge of the club's development system, which he previously oversaw.

According to CaughtOffside, the 44-year-old is hopeful that Sky Sports News pundit Redknapp, who played alongside Sherwood for a season at Tottenham, will rejoin the Spurs coaching staff that he left after his father Harry exited the North London club.

Sherwood was first handed a role in Spurs' coaching team by Harry Redknapp in 2008 and the ex-Lillywhite boss has admitted to consulting his son Jamie about in-game tactics during his tenure.
