Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has claimed that Steven Pienaar and his fellow Spurs fringe players still have an important part to play for the side this season.
Pienaar has been repeatedly linked with a move away from White Hart Lane in January after finding himself sparingly used by Redknapp.
The Spurs boss gave Pienaar and Niko Kranjcar a chance during Saturday's 3-0 FA Cup win over Cheltenham and admits that they both impressed him.
Redknapp said: "Players like Pienaar and [Niko] Kranjcar are good players and they can get in the team.
"You saw on Saturday that they have quality and they have a big part to play between now and the end of the season."
Pienaar will be pushing for a start against his former club Everton as Spurs prepare for the visit of the Merseyside club on Wednesday.
