Hull City midfielder Tom Huddlestone has hit out at his former boss Andre Villas-Boas for not giving him a fair crack of the whip at Tottenham Hotspur.
The 26-year-old joined Steve Bruce's side for £5m in August after being deemed surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane by the Portuguese.
Huddlestone told the The Mirror: "It's nice to know that if you have a good game you are likely to stay in the team. It's a nice feeling if the manager has enough confidence to keep you in the team regularly.
"After being injured for a while, you want to play as regularly as possible. There were times [at Spurs] where, regardless of how well I did in a game, there were certain players who would be back in front of me, if they were fit. That was frustrating and difficult to take, but that's football."
Hull have taken three points from their opening three Premier League games this season.
