Half-Time Report: Tottenham Hotspur pegged back by Fulham

Steve Sidwell scores two minutes after Paulinho to ensure that Fulham go in at half time on level terms with Tottenham Hotspur.

Two goals within two minutes mean that Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham are level at half time this afternoon.

It has been an even game at White Hart Lane, but Tim Sherwood will be disappointed that his side couldn't hold on to their lead once Paulinho had scored.

It was Fulham who created the better chances during a balanced start, as both Alex Kacaniklic and Hugo Rodallega scuffed half-chances after finding space in the box.

Spurs responded well, as moments later Fulham failed to clear a corner and allowed Younes Kaboul a free header at goal. Somehow though, the centre-back missed the target before a similar chance at the other end was tipped over by Hugo Lloris.

The hosts continued to improve as Aaron Lennon blazed over the bar before testing David Stockdale with a second effort shortly afterwards.

Their increasing pressure told on 34 minutes when Christian Eriksen's delivery allowed Paulinho to tap home from close range.

Fulham were back on level terms almost immediately as Steve Sidwell found space inside the box and held off a couple of defenders before slotting the ball past Lloris.

There were few chances after that, with Spurs controlling the ball against a resolute Fulham defence.
