How Tottenham Hotspur could line up against Wolverhampton Wanderers

Ahead of the Premier League clash between Wolves and Spurs, Sports Mole looks at how Mauricio Pochettino's side could line up at Molineux.

Tottenham Hotspur make the trip to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers sitting five points adrift of Premier League leaders Manchester City.

Mauricio Pochettino watched on from the sidelines as his side lost out to City at Wembley Stadium on Monday night, and it represented Spurs' third league setback of the season.

However, Spurs got back to winning ways against West Ham United in the EFL Cup, and Pochettino has been boosted by the recent return of a couple of his key players.

The Argentine has a number of selection dilemmas to contend with, and here Sports Mole looks at how his team could line up against the West Midlands outfit.

Out: Jan Vertonghen (thigh), Vincent Janssen (ankle)
Doubtful: Danny Rose (groin), Eric Dier (thigh)

Dele Alli successfully came through an hour of action against West Ham on Wednesday night, and that could be enough to earn a starting role against Wolves.

Christian Eriksen played 84 minutes at the London Stadium, but Pochettino may opt to leave the Dane on the bench with Lucas Moura and Erik Lamela fully rested after sitting out the EFL Cup clash.

Eric Dier will return in centre midfield - providing that he has recovered from a thigh injury - and Mousa Dembele should also take his place in the centre of midfield.

Davinson Sanchez is a likely starter - despite already playing twice this week - while Kieran Trippier, Toby Alderweireld and Ben Davies should return to the backline.

Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane will also return after being given the night off against the Hammers.
