How Spain could line up against Sweden

Ahead of the Euro 2020 qualifier between Spain and Sweden, Sports Mole looks at how Luis Enrique's side could line up in Madrid on Monday night.

Spain play host to Sweden in a Euro 2020 qualifier on Monday night having put together a four-match winning streak in all competitions.

La Furia Roja failed to qualify for the UEFA Nations League Finals, leaving Luis Enrique with extra work to do in order to secure a place at the next European Championship.

However, three successive wins - against Norway, Malta and the Faroe Islands - have provided Spain with a two-point advantage over their next opponents in Group F.

Below, Sports Mole predicts what starting lineup could be named by Enrique for the fixture at the Bernabeu.

A number of changes will likely be made by Enrique, the most notable potentially being a recall for David de Gea in place of Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Sergio Ramos was withdrawn at half time against the Faroe Islands, although that appears to have been a precaution due to the Real Madrid defender's recent injury issues.

Dani Carvajal and Jordi Alba are in line to return on each side of the backline, while Sergio Busquets is likely to come back into the side as a replacement for Rodri.

Santi Cazorla completed the 90 minutes on his return to the international stage on Friday, but Marco Asensio is expected to be preferred to the playmaker.

Enrique may opt to keep each of Iago Aspas and Alvaro Morata in the final third.
