Southampton are ready to launch a £2m bid for Millwall midfielder Liam Trotter, according to reports.
Nigel Adkins is believed to be keen on the 23-year-old as he looks to boost his side's midfield options ahead of a Premier League campaign next season.
The Saints boss signed Trotter on loan while manager of Scunthorpe United in 2009.
However, Fulham and Sunderland are also thought to be interested in Trotter, who has two years left on his contract at the New Den.
Trotter joined Millwall from Ipswich Town two years ago following a successful spell on loan.
