Southampton are reportedly lining up a new move for Celtic striker Gary Hooper.
The Saints have held a long-term interest in Hooper and had bids for the 24-year-old rejected in January.
Southampton boss Nigel Adkins is a well-known admirer of Hooper, having worked with the forward whilst at Scunthorpe. The club are keen on securing a deal as they prepare for life in the Premier League next season.
Hooper scored 29 goals in all competitions this season, winning the Golden Boot as the Scottish Premier League's top scorer as Celtic clinched the league title.
However, Celtic are determined to keep their star striker at the club, but it is understood that Southampton are ready to test their resolve with a bid of £7million for Hooper.
Hooper joined Celtic from Scuthorpe in 2010 for £2.4m.
