Southampton have reportedly decided to reward Nathaniel Clyne for his impressive form by offering the defender a new contract.
The 23-year-old has played a key role in Southampton's climb to second in the Premier League, and he received praise for his first two displays in an England shirt in the past week.
Clyne's rise to prominence has attracted interest from a number of clubs, with Liverpool considering making a move to sign the right-back, according to The Telegraph.
However, the Saints are keen to approach Clyne about a new deal over the next few weeks as they look to secure his services for the foreseeable future.
Clyne, whose current contract expires at the end of next season, has played 14 times for Southampton this season, scoring twice.
