Southampton midfielder Steve Davis believes that chairman Nicola Cortese deserves credit for the club's surge in the top flight.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino has helped guide the Saints into third place of the Premier League table after 11 games.
"It's still early doors this season, but you can see we're ambitious and you can see how the manager sets us up to be brave and attack," Sky Sports News quotes Davis as saying. "We try to dominate opposition.
"A lot stems from the chairman as well. When I signed, what they portrayed to me in the talks has been backed up."
As a result of Southampton's impressive start to the campaign, Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Jay Rodriguez were all called up to the England squad for this week's international friendlies.
