Stuart Gray: 'Lewis McGugan was completely knocked out'

Sheffield Wednesday manager Stuart Gray confirms that midfielder Lewis McGugan was completely knocked out during their Championship win over Blackburn Rovers.

Stuart Gray has confirmed that Lewis McGugan was "knocked out completely" during Sheffield Wednesday's 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

The midfielder, who is on loan from Watford, was stretchered off in a neck brace in the first half at Ewood Park following a mid-air collision with Lee Williamson.

Gray told reporters: "He was knocked out completely. At the moment he's a bit fragile but the medical side will look after that.

"He's obviously come round but he was totally out of it for two or three minutes on the pitch. I think it was precautionary putting the [neck] brace on him."

The win moved the Owls up to 12th in the Championship table.
