Wednesday's Nations League League B predictions including Scotland vs. Czech Republic

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Wednesday's Nations League League B matches, including Scotland vs. Czech Republic.

Finland vs. Rep. Ireland (Wednesday, 5.00pm)

A depleted Republic of Ireland side travel to Finland on Wednesday evening for their next UEFA Nations League clash.

The visitors have been hit by injuries, suspensions and coronavirus cases, but anything less than victory in Helsinki will all but end their hopes of qualifying from Group B4.

Finland are four points better off in second and are now hot on Wales's heels after the Dragons played out a goalless draw with Ireland on Sunday.

We say: Finland 1-0 Republic of Ireland

The Republic of Ireland are without a win in eight competitive games (D6 L2) - only once before have they endured a longer such run - and have to deal with a number of absentees.

Finland, by comparison, have won four of their last six competitive matches and look in good shape to keep their momentum going with another victory on Wednesday.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Norway vs. Northern Ireland (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Northern Ireland will be looking to quickly bounce back from defeat when they take on Norway in a UEFA Nations League clash at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo on Wednesday.

Ian Baraclough's side lost 1-0 at home to Austria on Sunday and are now bottom of Group B1, while Norway are up to second after beating Romania 4-0 on the same day.

We say: Norway 2-0 Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland are seeking their first UEFA Nations League victory at the eighth attempt, losing all but one of those previous seven games in the competition.

Baraclough's men scraped through their Euro 2020 qualifier but have otherwise looked pretty poor in recent games, whereas Norway have scored goals for fun and will surely have too much quality for their opponents.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Romania vs. Austria (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Austria face Romania in the UEFA Nations League on Wednesday evening looking to record their third successive away victory in Group B1.

However, the home side sit just two points adrift of the leaders at the halfway stage, giving them the licence to push for victory on home territory.

We say: Romania 1-1 Austria

With Norway hot on their tail, Austria know that failure to record maximum points on Wednesday could result in them losing their grip on top spot. Nevertheless, the visitors may feel that a draw in Bucharest is a solid result at this stage, and that could lead to a low-key affair.

Our tipster partners are predicting an away win.

Scotland vs. Czech Republic (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Scotland will be looking to tighten their grip on top spot in UEFA Nations League group B2 when they welcome the Czech Republic to Hampden Park for Wednesday evening's clash.

However, the visitors are only one point behind Steve Clarke's men after they picked up all three points against Israel at the weekend.

We say: Scotland 2-0 Czech Republic

It still remains to be seen whether or not the Czech Republic will be forced to call upon their reserve team for this match, but Scotland did not dominate their opponents' up-and-coming players by any means in September's meeting. Both sides have had little time off to recover from their weekend victories, but with the prospect of the visitors having to name a much-changed lineup, we cannot see any other result than a comfortable win for an in-form Scotland side.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Slovakia vs. Israel (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Slovakia and Israel will both be looking to recover from respective weekend defeats in the UEFA Nations League when the two sides lock horns at the Anton Malatinsky Stadium on Wednesday evening.

The hosts suffered a 1-0 loss to Scotland in their last outing, while Israel were put to the sword by the Czech Republic in their third fixture of the 2020-21 Nations League campaign.

We say: Slovakia 2-1 Israel

Both countries have seen their squads affected by coronavirus cases but will be equally desperate to register their first Nations League victory of the current campaign. However, Israel's recent results across all competitions makes for bleak reading for the visitors, so we are backing Slovakia to come out on top in Wednesday's encounter.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Russia vs. Hungary (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Russia manager Stanislav Cherchesov pictured in September 2020© Reuters

Russia will be aiming to keep their unbeaten run in the 2020-21 Nations League going when they play host to fellow high-flyers Hungary in Group B3 on Wednesday evening.

The hosts drew 1-1 with Turkey in their most recent outing, whereas Hungary enjoyed a 1-0 victory over Serbia on Sunday evening.

We say: Russia 2-0 Hungary

Hungary have lost a couple of key men prior to Wednesday's clash with an in-form Russia team who boast a remarkable record against the Magyars in recent times. Both teams have started the Nations League campaign well, but we expect the hosts to go four points clear at the top of Group B3 with a comfortable win on home soil.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Turkey vs. Serbia (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Two sides without a win in the 2020-21 UEFA Nations League will lock horns on Wednesday as Turkey welcome Serbia to the Turk Telekom Stadium for Group B3's clash.

The hosts salvaged a point in a 1-1 draw with Russia last time out, whereas Serbia succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to Hungary in the weekend round of matches.

We say: Turkey 2-1 Serbia

Neither of these two sides have covered themselves in glory during the early stages of the Nations League, but Turkey and Serbia both have a number of quality players with match-winning capabilities at their disposal. Both teams know the importance of a win here and this should be an interesting battle - one that we expect Turkey to ultimately prevail in.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Bulgaria vs. Wales (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Wales will be looking to put a couple of disappointing performances behind them when they take on Bulgaria in their next UEFA Nations League outing on Wednesday evening.

The Dragons followed up a 3-0 friendly defeat to England with a goalless draw against Republic of Ireland at the weekend, though they remain in control at the top of Group B4.

We say: Bulgaria 0-2 Wales

Wales have looked a little disjointed in their latest set of fixtures, clearly not helped by a quick turnaround in games and the absence of their undisputed star player.

This trip to Sofia presents the visitors with a chance to get back to winning ways and take a step closer to promotion, however, and we cannot see past a routine away victory.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
