Steve Evans: 'Rotherham United not yet safe'

Rotherham boss Steve Evans rejects the notion that beating Huddersfield saw the Millers effectively secure their Championship status for another season.

Steve Evans has insisted that his Rotherham United side are not safe from relegation despite today's 2-0 win at Huddersfield Town.

Goals from Kari Arnason and Conor Sammon handed the Millers a much-needed victory as Evans's troops moved nine points clear of danger in the Championship.

"Nothing has been achieved," the 52-year-old is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"We have had some disappointing results this season and we have to continue to work as hard as we have up to now. Even if we beat Wigan next week anyone who thinks 43 points will be enough is certainly not Steve Evans."

Victory at the John Smith's Stadium represented Rotherham's first away win since December.
