Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has reiterated that Isco must "keep working" in order to earn more opportunities in the first team.
The playmaker has been provided with just two starts and three substitute outings in La Liga during the current campaign.
The 28-year-old's lack of game time has resulted in speculation regarding his future, with Everton recently added to the list of clubs who may be interested in the Spaniard.
Despite acknowledging that Isco is going through "a complicated moment", Zidane has suggested that he should focus on reclaiming his spot in the first XI.
Speaking to reporters at a press conference, Zidane said: "What Isco has to do is to keep working. It's not a problem of Isco, it's a problem of the coach.
"He has to keep doing what he's doing. I've insisted on that. It's a complicated moment for him, but he has also had good moments. He'll keep showing that he's a good player."
Isco has a contract at the Bernabeu until the end of 2021-22.
