Cristiano Ronaldo and Gonzalo Higuain each bagged braces as Real Madrid, temporarily at least, extended their lead at the top of La Liga to nine points with an emphatic 5-1 win at Osasuna.
Karim Benzema broke the deadlock after seven minutes, dispatching Ronaldo's deep cross into the far top corner with a wonderful volley.
Ronaldo doubled the lead 37 minutes in with a long-range effort, before Esteban Granero sent Higuain clean through to further extend the advantage three minutes later.
Nino headed a consolation goal just after the break, but Ronaldo restored the three-goal cushion with a thunderous a free kick before supplying the perfect cross for Higuain to nod home his second from close range.
