Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly considers an £80m move to Manchester City with an offer of £400,000 to £500,000-a-week wages.

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly pondering a big-money move back to the Premier League with title challengers Manchester City.

The North West side have been linked with the prolific Portugal international, who left Manchester United for the Bernabeu for a record transfer fee of £80m in 2009.

It is believed that Man City's Abu Dhabi owners are willing to match the fee that the Spanish giants paid to United, as well as offer the 27-year-old a wage packet between £400,000 and £500,000 a week, according to Goal.com.

Reports have claimed that Ronaldo is considering a move to the blue half of Manchester and that talks between the two parties have begun in relation to a potential transfer.

"The signs now from the Ronaldo camp are surprisingly more positive," a source is quoted as saying. "The contact has taken place in the last few weeks and there is serious chatter in the corridors at the Etihad, akin to when City tried to sign Kaka from AC Milan a few years back."

The former Red Devil became the fastest player in La Liga history to reach 100 goals last weekend.
