Zinedine Zidane reveals coaching ambitions

Former Real Madrid and France midfielder Zinedine Zidane reveals his plans to go into coaching.

Former Real Madrid and France midfielder Zinedine Zidane has revealed his plans to go into coaching.

The 39-year-old, who hung up his boots in 2006, currently works as a sporting director at the Santiago Bernabeu.

"Sooner or later I will get closer to the pitch," he told radio station France Info.

"I will want to transmit my experience. I won't invent something new, but that is what I know best and what I can do best.

"But I have time. I'm not in a hurry. I don't have personal ambition, only the wish to learn things and that is the direction I want to take in order to develop."

Zidane won the World Cup and the Champions League during a glittering 18-year playing career.
