Nacho: 'We must score more goals'

Real Madrid defender Nacho calls on his team's attackers to start finding the back of the net following a fairly goal-shy pre-season to date.

Real Madrid defender Nacho has admitted that Los Blancos need to start finding the back of the net on a regular basis after a fairly goal-shy pre-season to date.

The Spanish giants have failed to score in four friendlies this summer, including Sunday's goalless draw at Valerenga.

Defensive improvement has been seen under new boss Rafael Benitez, but Nacho has called on his team to start taking their chances down the other end ahead of the new season.

"We've shown we are defending well, from the goalkeeper to the forwards," Nacho has been quoted as saying by Marca. "We had chances but we didn't take them. Not conceding is important but we have to score more goals."

Los Blancos have been without Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema for their last three matches.
