Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has thanked the club's fans for the support that they have given him in recent weeks.
The Croatian initially struggled to adapt to life at the Bernabeu following his 2012 summer switch from Tottenham Hotspur.
However, this season he has been a key component in Carlo Ancelotti's team, which culminated in him receiving a standing ovation from the supporters during last night's 4-2 win over Villarreal.
"It's great that the Bernabeu shouted my name. I am very grateful. I'm at a good moment, as is the team. That's what matters. I'm very proud and I thank the fans," he told the club's television channel.
The 28-year-old has laid on six assists during his 22 La Liga outings this term.
