Man City are planning a world record £100 million bid for Cristiano Ronaldo, according to a report in The Mirror today.
The Portuguese striker signed to Real Madrid from Man Utd in a then-record £80 million, six-year deal in 2009.
Now City boss Roberto Mancini is said to want Ronaldo to help the club win the Champions League next season after their qualification last week.
This season, Ronaldo has scored 38 goals for Jose Mourinho's side, equalling the La Liga record with one game still to play.
The 26-year-old was previously rumoured to be subject of a £135 million bid from City at the start of the 2008-09 season.
