Real Madrid have announced that Zinedine Zidane will begin his coaching career at the club's youth academy.
The French legend has been working as Madrid's sporting director up until last year and recently confirmed that he intends to move into a career as a coach.
A statement on Real's official club website said: "Zinedine Zidane will shortly begin training to be a coach while at the same time coaching Real Madrid's youth academy."
The 40-year-old played for Madrid from 2001 to 2006 and established himself as one the greatest players in the club's history, most notably scoring a stunning winning goal in the Champions League final against Bayer Leverkusen.
Zidane also won the World Cup and European Championship's with France in a distinguished playing career.
