Barcelona are set to be boosted by the availability of some important players for Saturday's pre-season friendly with Real Madrid.

The Catalan outfit opened their preparations for the 2024-25 campaign with a 2-2 draw against Manchester City on Tuesday evening, before beating the English champions 4-1 in the resulting penalty shootout.

Pau Victor, who is Barcelona's only summer arrival thus far, was on the scoresheet against Pep Guardiola's side, and he is set to retain his spot in the XI here.

Robert Lewandowski is likely to be introduced, having featured off the bench against Milan, while some important players are set to come into the squad.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Raphinha and Ilkay Gundogan all missed the Milan match but are now with the squad in the United States and are set to feature.

Jules Kounde arrived on August 1 after being given a longer period off, meanwhile, due to France's run to the semi-finals of Euro 2024.

Pedri, Frenkie de Jong, Gavi, Ronald Araujo and Ansu Fati are notable absentees through injury, while Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal are not with the squad after helping Spain win this summer's European Championship.

Fermin Lopez, Eric Garcia and Pau Cubarsi are also absent for Hansi Flick's side due to their involvement for Spain at the Olympics.
