Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Real Madrid could line up for Wednesday's Champions League last-16 second leg with Paris Saint-Germain.

Real Madrid will have to work around the absences of two suspended stars for Wednesday's Champions League last-16 second leg with Paris Saint-Germain at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Casemiro and Ferland Mendy both picked up their third bookings of the tournament in the 1-0 first-leg defeat at the Parc des Princes and will be forced to watch on from the sidelines here.

Toni Kroos has made the squad as he battles back from a hamstring problem, while Marcelo was restricted to indoor training on Monday due to thigh discomfort but is also with the group.

Marcelo is not thought to be nursing anything serious and should be fine to deputise for Mendy at left-back, although David Alaba could move across to his former position if necessary with Nacho Fernandez at centre-back.

Federico Valverde is sure to start alongside Luka Modric with Casemiro suspended, and Eduardo Camavinga will also expect another appearance in the first XI if Kroos is not deemed ready to start.

Rodrygo was given the nod from the first whistle in the win over Real Sociedad at the weekend, but Marco Asensio netted within two minutes of coming on for the Brazilian and could be back in the first XI here.

Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior will complete a familiar frontline for the hosts, with the former just two goals off equalling Raul's record of 66 Champions League strikes for the club but still some way off Cristiano Ronaldo's 105.

Real Madrid possible starting lineup: Courtois; Carvajal, Militao, Alaba, Marcelo; Camavinga, Valverde, Modric; Asensio, Benzema, Vinicius Jr
