Pep Guardiola confident of semi-final progress

Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola says that Real Madrid are not the favourites to advance from their Champions League semi-final despite the Spanish side's 1-0 lead.

Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola is confident that his side will overcome Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

The German outfit will enter the second leg on Tuesday trailing 1-0 from the clash in Madrid, but Guardiola believes in his side's ability to turn the tie around.

"We're close to it, but we're behind on the scoreboard," he told reporters at a press conference.

"I've also read and heard that Madrid are in the final and that they've already won it. We see it differently. We're behind on the scoreboard and we'll try to score."

Karim Benzema scored the only goal of the match in the first leg last week.
