Gareth Bale had the first real chance of the game after Manuel Neuer came off his line to head the ball away and failed to clear the Welshman, but his finish went well high.
The Spanish side were able to claim an away goal when they were awarded a corner, which Luka Modric curled in for Ramos to head the ball into the back of the net.
The defender added his second just four minutes later, heading in again after Pepe flicked the ball forward from an Angel di Maria free kick.
Ronaldo scored his 15th Champions League goal of the season later in the opening period following a counter-attack from Bale, who pulled the ball back for his teammate to fire past Neuer.
Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery tried to apply pressure up front for the defending champions, who now need five goals to reach the final, but they were unable to create a clear-cut chance.
There was bad news for Carlo Ancelotti's side shortly before the break though, as Xabi Alonso was booked for a rash challenge, ruling him out of the final.
