Cammy Bell lauds Rangers' high tempo

Cammy Bell suggests that Rangers' high tempo was the difference as they beat Airdrieonians in Scottish League One.

Rangers goalkeeper Cammy Bell believes that his side's high tempo was decisive as they earned a 12th straight win to top Scottish League One by 14 points.

Second-half goals from Jon Daly and Lee McCulloch proved enough to secure victory for the Light Blues, despite squandering numerous first-half chances, but Bell suggested that the hosts did not panic.

He told Rangers.co.uk "Airdrie did that very well today, they had a good shape and defended very well. But I think as the game goes on players tire and we've just got to try and keep the tempo up as high as we can.

"I think we raised the tempo in the second half as the manager asked us to at half time.

"He just said what he's said in the last couple of games, that we are doing fine and we just have to keep going and remember that it's a 90 minute game."

Rangers are still to drop a point in the league campaign to date.
