Right then, let's take a closer look at those lineups. Hosts QPR include brand new signing Kevin Doyle in their XI, with other fresh arrivals Aaron Hughes and Modibo Maiga on the bench.

No surprises in the Clarets' XI, with Sean Dyche naming his favourite lineup. The one new name in Burnley's squad is Ross Wallace, who returns to the bench after a knee injury which kept him on the sidelines since August.

Doyle, along with Andy Johnson today, will be expected to fill the void left by Charlie Austin. A former Burnley player, the 24-year-old is expected to miss the rest of the season with a shoulder injury.

After a wet day in the capital yesterday, the sun is shining brightly today. A nice crisp winter lunchtime for a bit of footy.

As mentioned above, these teams occupy second and third place in the table. QPR are currently three points better off but a win for the visitors today would see them climb up to second because of their better goal difference.

Both sides come into this game on good runs of form. QPR have won four on the bounce while Burnley are unbeaten in their last five.

PREDICTION TIME! With just 10 minutes until the off, it's time for my pre-match prediction. I'm expecting a cagey affair that QPR will just edge by a single goal. 1-0 or 2-1 to the hosts.

When these two sides last met back in October at Turf Moor it was Burnley who claimed the points thanks to Danny Ings's brace. The youngster, who Burnley did well to hold onto yesterday, has 15 league goals this season and is joint-third in the scoring charts.

Righty ho, we're almost ready to go. The teams have just emerged from the tunnel with the sun still shining down on Loftus Road.

KICKOFF! The prolific duo of Ings and Vokes get us underway!

Little to speak of early on. QPR are right to be wary of Burnley right-back Trippier, who has set up plenty of goals this season with his marauding runs down the wing. Harry Redknapp is playing with two left-backs - Assou-Ekotto and Traore - to try to counter that threat.

The home side's biggest danger on the wing is Matty Phillips, who seems to have picked up an early ankle injury and is receiving treatment.

QPR SUB: A blow for the hosts as Phillips has been one of their better players in the last couple of months. He's replaced by Junior Hoilett, who has been one of the biggest disappointments in the league this season.

Didn't take the Irishman long, did it?! He gets up well to flick Kranjcar's pinpoint corner into the net for a debut goal. Shabby marking from the visitors, who also didn't have anyone on the post to keep it out.

More injury trouble for Rangers as Dunne receives treatment on the sidelines for a blow to the head. The veteran defender is one of the toughest in the business and will be back on once he is patched up.

Doyle's in confident mood and flashes a left-foot shot wide from 20 yards after a casual pass from Clarets left-back Mee.

The visitors' first shot comes from Mee, whose first-time effort from 20 yards hits Clint Hill and bobbles away for a corner.

BOOKING! Referee Roger East gets his card out for the first time today to caution Kightly, who tugged back Hoilett.

Burnley starting to look more dangerous, especially down their left-hand side. Mee and Kightly have sent over teasing crosses that have been dealt with by the home defence.

Kranjcar's cute free kick is just too strong for Hill in the box.

Dangerous looking free kick from Kightly that Dunne just meets ahead of Duff. Burnley definitely more in this game now after a shaky opening 10 minutes.

Jones clearly handballs but East fails to spot it and the former has space to shoot at goal but drags it well wide from 22 yards.

He may usually be a defender, but Traore is showing that he can provide a threat in attack by delivering a vicious cross that Duff clears well.

Brilliant stuff from the young striker, who continues to shine this season. He and Trippier have linked up several times this season and do so again. Trippier volleyed a low cross into the area that Ings volleyed calmly into the corner. Superb finish.

If things were to stay level it would be a great result for Leicester, who could go 10 points clear at the top if they beat Bournemouth later this afternoon for their ninth consecutive league win.

Barton is lucky to escape a booking after wiping out Ings, who nutmegged him cheekily. The former has fouled several times already today.

It's a game of firsts for Rangers as Dunne scores his first goal for the club with a stunning volley. Again it comes from a corner, with Kranjcar's delivery only partially cleared to Dunne, who acrobatically connected with his weaker left foot and found the top corner. Surely the best goal of his long career!

CHANCE! The hosts have a chance to make it three as Traore picks out Doyle, but he can only flick wide from 12 yards.

A nasty moment for QPR substitute Hoilett after his head banged into Shackell's shoulder. The Canadian is down for a couple of minutes but is OK to continue.

BOOKING! Doyle is the first QPR player to be booked after catching Mee late.

Away from the game briefly, there's some potentially huge news in the Championship as rumours in Yorkshire suggest that Leeds United could spectacularly reinstate Brian McDermott after he was sacked last night:

The fourth official indicates THREE minutes of added time. It's been a much more open game than I was expecting.

Nice link-up play between Johnson and Doyle as the former chested into the Irishman's path but he couldn't make decent contact.

CHANCE! Big opening for the visitors just before the break as Ings releases Kightly. The winger should take it early but waits to move in closer on goal before being tackled by Assou-Ekotto.

East brings a great half of football to a close. The hosts lead 2-1 thanks to goals from Doyle and Dunne, with Ings expertly scoring for Burnley in between.

First-half possession was dead-level at 50-50 but QPR have been the more dangerous team and had eight shots to Burnley's three.

KICKOFF! No changes from either manager at half time as QPR begin the second 45. As things stand, they will be closing to within five points of league leaders Leicester.

BOOKING! Both of QPR's goalscorers are in the book now as Dunne is cautioned for a high foot on Ings.

CHANCE! Trippier hits the resulting free kick to the back post where an unmarked Duff gets his header all wrong and nods wide.

Worrying signs for Burnley as goalscorer Ings hobbles around. Think he should be all right to carry on.

The Clarets pull level again through their other striker. Ings and Vokes now have 28 goals between them as the latter gets ahead of Dunne to poke Kightly's cross into the near corner on the volley. Another top finish. Game on!

CHANCE! Burnley look menacing at the moment and have a chance to go in front for the first time as Arfield cuts back to Ings. It was coming at him quickly and with defenders in front, the hot striker could only sky it over the top.

Burnley have numbers on the break but Kightly lets the ball drop behind him. He decides to tee up Marney, who shoots but can't trouble Green as he slices it well wide.

Calamitous defending from Assou-Ekotto as he allows Ings to steal the ball on the byline. Vokes is alive and open in the area for Ings to roll him in and slot home. Great comeback from the Clarets. My cagey pre-game prediction couldn't have been more wrong!

Assou-Ekotto seems to have picked up an injury when he was challenged by Ings in the buildup to that goal.

QPR twice appeal for a penalty as Hoilett hits the deck twice within 10 seconds. Neither challenge was that bad and East rightly gestured no penalty.

A Burnley win would actually be the best result for Leicester as they would go a huge 11 points clear at the summit if they win at Bournemouth later on.

QPR SUB: Redknapp makes a change up front, bringing on Modibo Maiga for his Rangers debut in place of Johnson.

Groans from the home fans as Kranjcar carelessly passes the ball out of play after some neat buildup in the Burnley half.

MISS! Burnley are going to get chances on the break as QPR push for an equaliser and they might not come closer than this. Vokes picked the ball up and sent a high pass into Ings, who beat the offside trap. He cut inside past the defender but pushed his shot wide of the goal when he could have squared for a teammate to score. Could be a massive miss.

Redknapp has one more change available to make and must surely be thinking about sending on Bobby Zamora.

Big shouts of "HANDBALL!" from the home fans as the ball hits Marney and pops up against his arm. East isn't interested and made the right call in saying no.

The home side are back level and it's another debutant who scores. It's a similar goal to Burnley's third as the visitors fail to clear at the byline and Hoilett steals in and squares for Maiga, who can't miss from a couple of yards.

QPR SUB: Redknapp makes his final change by sending on Karl Henry in midfield for Traore, who looks to have picked up a niggle.

Will there be a seventh goal? QPR are certainly the side with the momentum and have a corner...

CHANCE! And they almost go back in front as Vokes misses his clearing header and the ball hits Hill on the knee, bouncing wide of the post.

BURNLEY SUB: It's a first change from Dyche as he brings on Junior Stanislas for Kightly. Fresh legs on the wing for the visitors.

FOUR minutes of time added on! Can either side find a winner? As it stands, this result suits both the team above these two in Leicester and the chasing pack of Derby, Forest and Reading below.

Nothing of note in the added period so far. Looks like both clubs are happy to take a point.

Ings steals the ball from Assou-Ekotto but can't pick out Vokes in the middle. Probably the last chance.

JUST WIDE! Or not! Burnley almost steal a late winner as Assou-Ekotto again is hesitant, allowing Stanislas to get the ball and lob Green. It's a tense moment as the ball bounces just wide of the goal. That definitely is the last effort.

Some game at Loftus Road as second and third place in the Championship play out a 3-3 draw.
