Marco Verratti agent denies Paris Saint-Germain exit talk

The agent of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has rubbished rumours that the Italian will leave the Parc des Princes in January.

The 20-year-old, who joined the club from Pescara for £10m in the summer, has struggled in recent weeks, despite a promising start to life in Ligue 1.

Recent speculation linked Inter Milan with an attempt to lure Les Parisiens with the prospect of a swap deal involving Wesley Sneijder.

However, Donato di Campli has now said that his client is "happy" in the French capital, where he is part of an "important project".

"There is no truth in it," Di Campli told Radio Kiss Kiss. "It's pure fantasy.

"Marco is happy in Paris, he's highly rated and really wanted by the coach and the club. I can assure you that there is nothing. Marco will be staying in Paris because he is at the centre of an important project.

"I can guarantee, 100%, that Verratti will remain at the disposal of boss Carlo Ancelotti. I say that categorically."

Verratti - labelled the 'next Andrea Pirlo' - made his debut for Italy in August's 2-1 defeat to England.
