Perth Glory's super-sub Jamie Maclaren scored a brace to help his side come back from a goal down to win 2-1 against Newcastle Jets.
The Jets took a lead late on through summer signing Jeronimo Neumann in the 74th minute, only for Maclaren to score two quick-fire goals minutes later to give Glory all three points.
Glory failed to show finishing form in front of goal earlier on in the match, as a barrage of chances failed to test Jets goalkeeper Mark Birighitti.
With a total of 17 shots on goal, Perth struggled to break the deadlock while limiting Newcastle to shots from outside the box.
It wasn't until the 74th minute that a ball from over the top put Neumann through in on goal, with his shot parried into the net by Glory keeper Danny Vukovic.
Perth needed a quick response and they got one through substitute Maclaren as a scrambled cross fell to the young Australian's feet, who tucked it home to equalise minutes after conceding.
The momentum swung in Glory's and Maclaren's favour as the forward positioned himself in the box to head home a corner a couple of minutes after scoring his first.
Perth held on to gain all three points, with the win pushing the hosts up to second in the table.
The Jets are still waiting for their first win this season, drawing once and losing their other three games.
