Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies hit with one-match touchline ban

Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies is given one-match touchline ban and a £2,000 fine for improper conduct.

Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies has been handed a one-match touchline ban from the Football Association for improper conduct.

The 49-year-old was charged by the English governing body for his behaviour towards the match officials following his side's 2-1 defeat to Wigan Athletic last Saturday.

A statement from the FA said that Davies "admitted a breach of FA Rule E3 in that his language and/or behaviour following the end of his side's game against Wigan Athletic".

Davies, who has also been fined £2,000, will be absent for Forest's clash against Barnsley on September 14.
