Robbie Brady has admitted that he is "buzzing" over the prospect of Republic of Ireland teammate Jonathan Walters joining him at Norwich City on deadline day.
The Stoke City forward, 31, handed in a transfer request last week and speculation is rife that the Canaries are keen to swoop before the transfer window shuts at 6pm.
Walters was absent from Ireland training today, and Brady hopes it is a sign that a move to Carrow Road is imminent.
"I think there are a few hours left and I'll be buzzing if it does happen for him, and if he does end up at our place I'll be over the moon," he told reporters.
"But obviously it's his decision and he's got to sort that out today. I'm sure I'll speak to him later on at some stage and find out all the ins and outs."
Walters joined Stoke from Ipswich Town in 2010.
