Manager Alex Neil has revealed that he would like Norwich City to get their "business done early" during next month's transfer window.
The Canaries are expected to be active in January, with Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Benik Afobe said to be one of Neil's major targets.
Whoever is to arrive at Carrow Road, Neil has informed the board that he wants the deals to be concluded as quickly as possible so that the new players have more time to bed themselves in.
"I have made it perfectly clear I want to get our business done early," the Pink 'Un quotes the Scot as saying.
"We have a plan in place. We have had discussions with the people inside the club who are involved in that process and that is ongoing until the window actually opens.
"If we get as much done early doors it gives us a longer bedding in period and means we are not scrambling about in the last few days."
Ahead of the Boxing Day trip to Tottenham Hotspur, Norwich are 16th in the Premier League, two points above the drop zone.
