Norwich City striker Grant Holt is adamant that he is good enough to play for the England national team.
Holt scored his 13th goal of the season on Saturday as Norwich drew 2-2 with Everton at Carrow Road and thinks that he could do a good job if he is called upon for Euro 2012.
Holt said: "It's the dream to play for England.
"Obviously I want to play for England and that's it, if it goes on goals and recent performances, recent stats, then I'll be in.
"If [the new England manager] picks me I'll gladly play for them and it will be on my football abilities."
Holt, 30, also questioned some of the players that have been picked for the national side in the past who he feels weren't good enough.
"I have been an England fan for a long, long time, and have seen a lot of players get call-ups who shouldn't and a lot who should get picked but don't," added Holt.
"All I can do is do my best, keep going and score goals and try and help this football club."
Holt signed for Norwich from Shrewsbury Town back in July 2009.
