Ronaldinho to turn out for Ecuadorian side Barcelona

Former Brazil international Ronaldinho will turn out in a friendly for Barcelona - the Ecuadorian team, rather than his former club in Spain.

Former Brazil international Ronaldinho has agreed to turn out for Ecuadorian side Barcelona in a friendly against Universidad San Martin-PER.

The 35-year-old has been without a club since leaving Fluminense last September, but he recently insisted that he would not be retiring.

The Brazilian's search for a new club continues, but he has agreed to represent Barcelona in a friendly which is used to showcase the team's players ahead of the new season.

Last week, Ronaldinho, who has twice been named the World Player of the Year, represented Fluminense in a friendly match in the United States.

A number of European clubs are said to be interested in the attacker, who will decide his future after the Rio carnival next month.
