Sepp Blatter describes Maya Dodd, Australia's candidate for the new woman's place on the FIFA executive committee, as "good-looking".

Sepp Blatter has said that Australia's candidate for the new woman's place on the FIFA executive committee is "good-looking".

Speaking at the annual congress in Mauritius, the 77-year-old described Maya Dodd as "good, and good-looking".

Dodd is one of four candidates in contention for the role and if elected, she will be part of FIFA for four years.

"We are likely to wake up on June 1 with three women on the FIFA ExCo," Dodd said.
"That is remarkable considering that just over a year ago there were no women at all."

Blatter has previously been criticised for sexist remarks. In 2004, he suggested that female players should wear tighter kits to increase the popularity of women's football.
