Newcastle United's Alan Pardew: 'No problem with Yohan Cabaye's comments'

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew insists that he has "no problem" with Yohan Cabaye claiming that he wants to play in the Champions League.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has insisted that he has "no problem" with Yohan Cabaye's claims that he wants to play in the Champions League.

The Frenchman has hinted that he could leave the Magpies in the summer, but Pardew has no concerns.

"We want him to [reach the Champions League] here," Pardew told Sky Sports News. "We're trying to build that, but it's difficult and it's only players like Yohan Cabaye are going to get us there.

"For him to have ambitions to play in the Champions League - absolutely no problem with that, none whatsoever."

Cabaye was the subject of a rejected bid from Arsenal in the summer window.
