Daryl Janmaat withdraws from Netherlands squad

Newcastle United defender Daryl Janmaat is to miss the Netherlands's upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers due to a hamstring injury.

Newcastle United defender Daryl Janmaat has pulled out of the Netherlands squad for their upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers due to a hamstring injury.

The 25-year-old has been replaced by Augsburg full-back Paul Verhaegh.

The Dutch are back in action on Friday at home to Kazakhstan before facing Iceland in Reykjavik three days later.

Guus Hiddink's side are currently in fifth place in Group A after suffering a 2-1 defeat away to the Czech Republic in their opening game of qualifying.
