Gboly Ariyibi vows to get Motherwell fans off their feet after joining on loan

He made 40 appearances last season during loan spells with MK Dons and Northampton.

Gboly Ariyibi has vowed to get Motherwell fans off their seats after joining on loan from Nottingham Forest.

The winger has not played for Forest since joining two years ago, although he made 40 appearances last season during loan spells with MK Dons and Northampton.

And he is determined to make an impact at Fir Park for the rest of the Ladbrokes Premiership season.

Ariyibi, who was born in the United States but raised in England, told Motherwell's Twitter account: "I like to take on my man, beat my man, get crosses in and just get the fans off their seats really.

"I'm going to be 24 in two weeks and there's some young lads here and I want to come and show my experience and give what I can.

"I want to add flair, goals and push this club up to where it needs to be.

"The main thing is to get games, get my name back out there and enjoy my football again."

The wide player joins former Forest team-mate Ross McCormack in signing for Motherwell this year.

Manager Stephen Robinson said: "We've been tracking the player for quite some time and I am really pleased to get this agreed and over the line."

"He's a fast-footed, speedy forward player who can play on either flank or through the middle. He fits the type of profile we were looking for and will hopefully provide a different dimension in the forward areas."
