Millwall have completed the signing of Sheffield United midfielder Ryan Leonard, who will cost a club-record fee in January.
The Lions have allowed George Saville to link up with Middlesbrough, and that left Neil Harris needing to find a replacement for the Northern Ireland international.
That has led to Millwall agreeing to sign Leonard from Sheffield United, initially on a loan agreement until the start of 2019.
Millwall will then spend in excess of the fee which they paid for Tom Bradshaw earlier in the summer, with that figure said to be in the region of £1m.
Leonard only joined the Blades in January, making a total of six starts and 10 substitute outings for the Yorkshire side at the second tier.
