Graeme Souness has questioned Paul Pogba's desire to continue his career with Manchester United, and has suggested that the midfielder simply does not want to play for the Red Devils.
The 26-year-old has been sidelined since December with an ankle injury, making just eight appearances in all competitions throughout the 2019-20 campaign.
Pogba continues to be linked with a move away from Old Trafford, and Souness believes that there is more to the midfielder's absence.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Souness said: "It's just the cynic in me, I'm thinking Paul Pogba; I see him dancing at a wedding, I see him shooting hoops, and the cynic in me thinks he doesn't want to be at United. How can you not want to play for Man United, if that's the case?
"You've got Andre Gomes playing today, horrific ankle injury. Is it 14 bones in his, half the players out there today will be playing with something floating around in their ankle joint. It mystifies me, it really does.
"Maybe United should be looking at the medical staff here at Goodison, they got Gomes back in a fraction of the time for what would appear to be a far worse injury."
Pogba has scored 31 goals in 143 appearances for United since his return from Juventus.
