Paris-Saint Germain defender Thiago Silva backs fellow Brazilian Lucas Moura to be a success in England.

Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva believes that fellow Brazilian Lucas Moura would be a success in the Premier League.

The 19-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, and Silva has insisted that his international teammate would flourish in England.

"I see many possibilities for Lucas to play in English football. Despite being a short guy he is really strong and powerful. It is really difficult to stop him," Silva told reporters.

"In Manchester particularly, they play with two wingers - it used to be Cristiano Ronaldo and now it's Nani. He has the same qualities as these players."

Silva and Lucas were both in action as Brazil's Olympic side beat Team GB 2-0 on Friday.
