Santos president Jose Carlos Peres has revealed that his club want to sign Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira.
Pereira started United's first two Premier League matches of the season, but the Brazil international has fallen out of favour in recent months.
The 22-year-old will see his current contract with the Red Devils expire at the end of the season, and it is thought that the midfielder could decide to move on next month.
West Ham United have been linked with a loan approach for Pereira, but Santos are also interested in a deal.
"He is a player that interests us a lot. He is a santista and wants to play for Santos," Peres told A Tribuna, referencing the fact that Pereira has previously confirmed that he is a Santos fan.
Pereira has spent each of the last two seasons on loan in La Liga with Granada and Valencia respectively.
