Argentine goalkeeper Sergio Romero has reportedly reached an agreement with Manchester United that will see him sign a three-year deal at Old Trafford.
The 28-year-old is currently available on a free transfer after leaving Sampdoria, where he spent four years of his football career.
A host of clubs have been linked with a move, but according to Gazzetta.it, Romero now has a verbal agreement with Louis van Gaal's side.
Romero, who spent the 2013-14 season on loan at Monaco, represented Argentina at the 2014 World Cup and has more than 60 international appearances to his name.
Romero's reported arrival will place more questions on the future of David de Gea.
