Report: Real Madrid want Arturo Vidal

A report claims that Real Madrid want to sign Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal this summer.

Rafael Benitez reportedly wants to make Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal his first signing as Real Madrid manager.

Benitez is expected to be confirmed as the club's new head coach next week and the 55-year-old's attentions will immediately switch to the transfer market.

According to Marca, Benitez has already drawn up a list of targets and top of his priorities is Vidal, who was strongly linked with a move to Manchester United last summer, before eventually remaining in Turin.

Arsenal have also been linked with a move for the 28-year-old, but it is understood that Vidal would favour a move to the Bernabeu.

Current Napoli boss Benitez has watched the midfielder at close quarters over the last couple of seasons in Italy.
