Report: Manchester United tracking Martin Hinteregger

Reports suggest that Manchester United are monitoring Red Bull Salzburg's Austrian Under-21 international centre-back Martin Hinteregger.

Manchester United are believed to be keeping tabs on Red Bull Salzburg defender Martin Hinteregger.

Reports suggest that Red Devils boss David Moyes has sent scouts to monitor the 21-year-old, who scored a goal from 70 yards in a friendly against Schalke 04 this summer.

According to talkSPORT, the centre-back, who has a contract until 2017, would command a fee of around £6m.

The Austrian Under-21 was called up to Marcel Koller's senior side for their matches against Romania and Ukraine last year, but did not feature in either.
