Manchester United have resurrected their interest in Atletico Madrid right-back Kieran Trippier, according to a report.
The England international has spent the past two campaigns with Atleti, whom he joined from Tottenham Hotspur, and has another year to run on his contract.
Trippier helped the Spanish side to La Liga glory in 2020-21, but the Manchester Evening News claims that he is making arrangements to return to England this summer.
The report indicates that the 30-year-old hails from a United-supporting family and would relish to chance to play for his boyhood club.
The Red Devils were previously tipped to move for Trippier in January, but the defender was suspended for breaching betting rules - a 10-week ban that has since been served.
Trippier's arrival at Old Trafford would provide competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who could in turn shift into a more central position should United switch to a five-man defence.
