Report: Everton want £25m for Leighton Baines

Everton reportedly place a £25m price tag on the head of Manchester United target Leighton Baines.

Everton have reportedly slapped a £25m price tag on Leighton Baines in an attempt to fend off interest from Manchester United.

A recent report claimed that the champions were preparing a £16m bid for the England international, but the Blues want around £9m more, according to Goal.com.

The Red Devils failed in their attempts to lure Baines to Old Trafford in the summer, but are expected to return for the talented left-back in the January transfer window.

Baines returned to action after a month out with a broken toe in the Blues' 2-1 win against Southampton on December 29.
