Real Madrid chief Florentino Perez will reportedly follow through on his promise of backing Zidane Zidane this summer by giving him £265m to splash out on new players.

Zinedine Zidane reportedly intends to spend around £265m on new players for his Real Madrid squad during the summer transfer window.

Los Blancos can finish no higher than third in La Liga with one match left to play - at home to Real Betis on Sunday - and they fell well short in the Champions League and Copa del Rey.

After the disappointing tenures of Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari, Zidane was reappointed in March and was supposedly assured that he would have plenty of money to spend.

Spanish outlet Marca suggests that president Florentino Perez intends to fulfil his promise by giving the Frenchman a record amount to spend in a single window.

Eder Militao and Rodrygo have already been signed and a deal for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic is believed to be close to going through.

Chelsea's Eden Hazard, Tottenham Hotspur ace Christian Eriksen and Paul Pogba of Manchester United are also on Zidane's wishlist.
